Fishing is slow throughout the river with redband trout moving to water quality refuge. Look for fast water habitat with boulders.
Best fishing is near the town of Beatty. There is also plenty of public water along Sprague River highway. Remember, regulations have changed to a bag limit of one redband trout greater that 15 inches.
Fishing can be slow for warmwater fish (yellow perch, brown bullhead catfish and largemouth bass) in areas around the town of Sprague River and near Lone Pine. Bait is allowed from Saddle Mtn Pit Bridge to Godowa Springs Road bridge.
