Tropical Storm Kay has been creeping up the Baja coastline and will be upon us this weekend. It seems that the weather has dramatically slowed the bite in our local waters and much of the fleet will be hunkering down over the next couple of days. We are keeping a close eye on the forecast for Sunday and are hoping we can get back to it early next week. Hopefully, along with this storm comes some more hungry fish once it blows over.
The Aztec returned this morning with a very nice load of Bluefin for their 3.5 Day charter. They had 100 Bluefin Tuna and 50 Dorado for their group of 18 anglers.
The El Gato Dos wrapped up their charter today with 30(limits) Dorado for their 3 anglers. There are still plenty of days open in October for those looking to get the 6-pack charter experience!
Inshore
Our local Calico Bass seem unbothered by the weather and are still biting. The New Seaforth wrapped up the AM trip with 4 Bonito, 53 legal Calico Bass and 11 Sheephead for their 33 anglers. The PM trip ended with 1 Yellowtail, 4 Bonito and 33 Calico Bass. Once the weather is over we will be back at it, be sure to grab a spot while we still have this outstanding inshore fishing.
