Fall Chinook fishing should improve this weekend and into next week with the forecasted big rain events. The Alsea will be on the rise over the weekend and will be dropping into shape next week. Conditions will be good for fall Chinook fishing as fish move upstream to the spawning grounds.
Wild coho retention closed on Sept. 30 on the Alsea.
Trout fishing in streams closed on Oct. 31 and will reopen on May 22.
