Stocking: Trout Opener was November 18-20 and 2,500 pounds of trout was stocked. The next stocking of Rainbows is this week! Another 1,500 pounds of trout will go in the lake. The lake will be stocked bi-weekly until mid-April for a total of 20,000 pounds of trout.

What's the catch? Trout were biting on mini jigs and Hookup Baits in black/gold and Red Crab varieties. The most popular weight to use in our lake is 1/32 oz. Most catches were reported between 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. or right before close. Trout were being caught along the campground shoreline and Hermit Cove.
Night fishing returned this weekend and there were ample reports of catfish biting all over the lake. Limits were caught by boat in Shadow Cove. Mackerel and garlic shrimp (even powerbait!) were reeling them in.
Bass were biting off of the t-dock on Senkos. Bluegill and Redear were schooling in Half Moon Cove. Meal worms are like candy to the panfish. A piece of inflated nightcrawler also works.

Conditions: The water temperature around the boat dock is 70 degrees. The district is filling the lake, so be mindful of newly submerged structure when boating. The days are getting shorter with the sun rising around 6:31 a.m. and setting at 4:42 p.m. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
