The Metolius has been fishing well. Don’t forget that the waters above Allingham Bridge remain closed until May 22. Fish have been taking BWO’s and a variety of caddis during hatch times so having your dry box with a good selection of caddis and BWO’s in all stages is a good idea. Nymphing remains the best method for targeting fish at all times of the day and october caddis, eggs, two-bits, pheasant tails, and golden stones have been some recent favorites. As always, stripping, swinging, or dead drifting large streamers is a good way to fool a bull.
