Wilson Reservoir is completely full and spilling as of the end of April. Water temps are in the high 40’s and water clarity is fair. Trout fishing should be fair to good. Shore anglers should have success fishing rooster tails, spoons, Rapalas, or bait fishing an inflated worm a couple feet off the bottom. Trout will be actively feeding in the shallows throughout the day. Anglers wishing to fly fish should find success stripping Woolly Buggers and leech patterns, or fishing small nymph, midge, or balance leech patterns under an indicator.
Bass fishing will remain slow until water temperatures rise, fishing should start to pick up later in May
