Current flow is around 4,900 cfs and average river temperature is 55F.
Wild steelhead harvest is now closed, but the river is still open for hatchery steelhead.
Spring Chinook are moving through the middle Rogue. No wild harvest below Fishers Ferry until June 1. Consult Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations for open sections and bag limits.
Warm weather forecast for the weekend will likely bring river levels up. Plugs or plunking may be a good bet if a bump in color follows the rise in river levels.
Trout season is closed until May 22.
Current flow, temp and turbidity conditions for the Rogue can be found at the USGS stream gauges here, or checking the City of Grants Pass water page’s river data here.
