The lake rose to 96 percent of capacity and water temperatures rose to the mid-sixties. Fishing has been great with bass and striper taking baits. Large and smallmouth fell for Green Pumpkin, shad, and brown Senkos, drop shot, and Ned rigs. They also took Keitechs and underspins in baitfish colors. Striper anglers did very well on 2lb fish with the occasional larger model hitting the scales. The zebras ate cut sardines and lugworms near Elizabeth and the Forebay buoy line. Striper also fell for jerkbaits and small white swimbaits throughout the lake. Catfish slurped up chicken liver, nightcrawlers, and cut baits. Trout are still being reported in coves by anglers using weightless plastics while bass fishing.
