Wilson Reservoir is completely full and spilling as of the end of April. Water temps are in the 50’s and water clarity is fair. Trout fishing should be fair to good. Stocked 5/23/23 with rainbow trout averaging 8-9 lbs. Shore anglers should have success fishing rooster tails, spoons, Rapalas, or bait fishing an inflated worm a couple feet off the bottom. Trout will be actively feeding in the shallows throughout the day. Anglers wishing to fly fish should find success stripping Woolly Buggers and leech patterns, or fishing small nymph, midge, or balance leech patterns under an indicator.
Bass fishing should begin picking up with warmer water temps.
