Trout releases started last week and will run weekly through the rest of the summer. Holdover trout are still available, as well. Roads below Union Cr have melted and river access is possible again. Roads to some tributaries may still be impassable due to snow, especially upstream of the Crater Lake turn-off.
There is still a lot of snow melting and river level is around 2,500 cfs above Prospect. This section of river fishes well below 1,600 cfs, so it may be a few weeks until the fishing is good.
The Rogue and tributaries above Lost Creek Reservoir remain open year-round, with a daily retention limit of 5 trout (no limit on brook trout). Winter conditions now limit access to most of this area.
