Fishing should be getting good on the upper Juan.
Look for hatches of stones and caddis. If no fish are rising, a stonefly nymph rig is in order.
Nymphs: Prince nymphs 10-14, Pat’s Rubberlegs 4-8 or Jigged Pats 8-10, 20 Incher 8-10, Pheasant Tails 18-22, RS-2 18-20, Orange Crush 12-16, Rainbow Warrior 18-22, RS-2 18-20, San Juan Worms
Dries: Chubbies 6-10, Rogue Foam stone 6-8, Sofa Pillow 4-8. Elk Hair Caddis 12-16, RIO’s Big boned Caddis 14-16.
Streamers: Buggers, Sculpzilla, Sparkle Minnow, Mini-Dungeon, Peanut Envy.
