The cooler weather will have good impacts on the river temperatures, but keep your thermometer handy and when the temps rise above 65 F you should call it a day for the sake of the fish. Caddis and midges are the dominant insects fish are keying on. Swinging soft hackles and throwing dries such as a dark Missing Link can be rewarding. Bird's Nests in #14 & 16, Amberwing Prince Nymphs, and any and all of the Perdigons are working well. Hopper-dropper is a method as a few grasshoppers are making their appearance too. Be careful, though! This can be a slippery river to wade.
Be aware that the flows on the Pit can and will change without notice, so definitely check before you go! And be prepared to get out when the river begins to rise.
