The lake will close for fishing and to the general public on weekdays, as it does every year, after Labor Day beginning Sept. 5th, but will remain open on weekends. Catfish are biting at both ends of the lake. Lake Wohlford cats prefer cut mackerel or chicken liver. Largemouth Bass can be found near structure. The lake will close for fishing and to the general public on weekdays, as it does every year, after Labor Day beginning Sept. 5th, but will remain open on weekends. Catfish are biting at either end of the lake now that water is coming in from the canal at the east end. Lake Wohlford cats prefer cut mackerel or chicken liver.
