Website
Action: Open gamefish and salmon seasons daily (seven days per week).
Effective date: Immediately through Oct. 31, 2023.
Species affected: All species.
Location:
Cascade River in Skagit County from mouth to Rockport-Cascade Road Bridge:
- Immediately through Oct. 31: Daily limit four (4) coho salmon, minimum length is 12 inches. Release all salmon other than coho. Night closure and anti-snagging rules in effect.
Reason for action: Treaty fisheries for coho in this section of the Cascade River have concluded for the season so the previous Sunday through Tuesday closures to avoid gear conflicts are no longer necessary.
Additional information: Anglers are asked to cooperate with personnel collecting catch information. Monitoring and evaluation of fisheries is an important part of ensuring we meet conservation goals for salmon. See 2023/24 Sport Fishing Rules pamphlet for gamefish seasons and regulations.
Information contact: Mill Creek Regional Office, 425-775-1311.
