With a welcome respite from the wind, our anglers are enjoying some success in landing striped bass. Nine-year-old local angler Maddelyn Archer, fishing in the area with anchovies, landed a impressive-sized striper with the assistance of her dad, Joshua Verkamp. The striper weighed in at 19.12 pounds and measured 37 and 1/2 inches in length.

Given the current conditions at Rotary Park and the lower water levels, shore fishing is thriving. Reports suggest that Rotary Park is proving fruitful for both trout and stripers. Whether at Rotary Park, Community Park, or the surrounding areas, it's a prime time to gather your gear and head out for some fishing.

This season, larger stripers are prevalent and can be targeted using baits like anchovies or swim baits such as the River2Sea Weaver. It's heartening to see anglers actively contributing to the conservation of rainbow trout. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you soon to share your successful catches, and we extend our sincere gratitude for your continued support. Now, go catch a fish!
