The East Walker on the California side of the state line is closed until April 27. 2024. The Nevada side of the river is open through the Winter. 

The EW is running at about 94 cfs right now and the Sceirine and Rosachi sections on the Nevada side are still fishing pretty well. The weather has been very nice here lately, much the opposite of last year! The nights are still fairly cool but the daytime temps are good. If you’re going to fish the river it’s probably best to be there from about 9 or 10am to about 3pm. Small nymphs and midges are the way to go right now with bright colors doing well. Perdigons, darth baetis, copper johns, pheasant tails and the like are some go to nymphs.
