Trout season is in full swing with both visiting and local anglers enjoying success at Rotary Park and Community Park. Local angler James Kirkpatrick landed his limit of 5 rainbow trout at Rotary Park using power bait from the shore, thanks to recent plantings by Willow Beach Hatchery.

Trout jigs and various spinners are proving effective for shore fishing, while updates from Lake Mohave are still pending. As the weather begins to mellow out, expect changes in the fishing scene. The striper bite has been a bit slow, with swimbaits being recommended for targeting larger fish.
