The Bass action started to improve this week with more fish reported than weeks past. Bass have been coming on Keitechs in sexy shad on an underspin or ball head, and the new Yamamoto Senkos in green pumpkin on a light Texas rig or drop-shot setup. One of our contacts also reported solid action with weightless flukes and small Ike’s jigs. Trout were stocked last week, and the bite has been steady. Trout have been going for minijigs, spinners, pinched crawlers and garlic scented Powerbait. The next trout plant is scheduled for the week of February 25th by DFWL Bluegill have been going for wax worms, meal worms and red worms. The crappie bite is still going but has slowed a bit. The best Crappie action has been in the late afternoon with small live shiners and crappie jigs with nibbles.
