The lake held near 86 percent of its storage capacity, and water temps have been in the mid to low fifties. Recent rains turned the water a muddy brown, but that didn’t stop anglers from boating fish. Large and smallmouth took finesse baits on main lake points and bluff walls. Plastic crawdad imitations worked in 5 to 15 feet of water near rocky structure, and deep diving crankbaits took bass in those same areas. Striper fell for cut sardines, anchovies, and lugworms near Yellow bar and in the marina, and rainbows went after dough baits, spoons, and minijigs.
