Isabella lake increased this week to 70 percent of its capacity and fishing has been excellent for multiple species. Since Sunday the trout bite has been nonstop for multiple anglers. Our contacts reported trolling Tasmanian Devils and Flicker Shad’s have been scoring good numbers of better grade trout. Shore anglers reported excellent trout action with chartreuse Keitechs and various other trout jigs. Local angler Steve Wiebe trolled Tasmanian Devils and 3.3 Keitechs on an underspin and picked up a mixture of both Trout and Crappie totaling 56 fish. The crappie bite remains very good with live shiners, small swimbaits, and minijigs in white, yellow, or chartreuse. The best action has been near or on structure along the South Fork in 5 to 15-feet of water. The bass bite has moved in the right direction as well. Crankbaits and jerkbaits up shallow in the early hours, and spinnerbaits or square bills in the shallow water structure. The Catfish action is steady with cut baits, SSS Dip Bait, chicken liver and nightcrawlers.
