Currently, at Stampede Reservoir, there is a good Kokanee bite near the island at depths of 40 to 50 feet. The recommended bait colors for catching Kokanee at Stampede right now are pink and green. Additionally, the lake has been recently stocked with cutthroat, leading to a nice trout bite in the coves and near the dam. The inlet at Stampede has been slow for fishing because most of the fish have moved to deeper water. Stampede Reservoir is currently at 92% capacity.
