Nice cool weather and easy fishing on the Truckee River. Lows haves dipped in the 30's this week. Crazy, coming off the back of a really hot early part of July. Flows are great and it's just nice to be out in the mornings on the river. Very much crayfish time, caddis, and smaller mayfly time. We'll get them nocturnal stones soon in the canyons and in Reno. On a side note:  I've pretty much kept quiet about the goings on here in Hirschdale. Things have gotten to the point where I have to speak up. I am an advocate for public use and lands.
