The Lower Deschutes has been great for our guides! Despite it being warm down there, fishing has been better than expected on the day stretch, but if you're wanting to target steelhead you're gonna have to go much lower. Mack’s Canyon is a great stretch to target steelies right now. But if redband are more your cup of tea then try out some copper johns, pheasant tails, micro mays, and two bits. For a little more weight give some perdigons a chance; my favorites right now are hazel’s jig magic and purple duracell. For top water caddis and PMDs will get the job done.
