The Opener was on Tuesday, and water temps have been high. At noon, surface temperatures were at 71°. This is keeping the LCT below 60 feet in most cases with several fish being marked at 20′-30′ with a Garmin Striker Cast with a few fish caught from shore in the early morning hours stripping baitfish, Pyramid Lake Bugger and Tui Chub. Bait balls are present throught out the day with only a slight algae bloom. Your typical streamers, foam flies (Booby Fly and Mopcorns) and the Belly Ache Minnow have been working from shore, and heavy marabou jigs of you are in a boat or float tube to help get you deep and stay tight.

Flies we suggest: Pyramid Lake Bugger (Midnight Cowboy and Cat Whisker), Belly Ache Minnow, Kreelex Minnow, Balanced Chub, Holographic Midge, Tui Chub
