Illipah Reservoir is sitting at approximately 80% ice coverage.  Ice thickness varies from ½ to 2 inches, with areas of exposed water. There is fishing access along the western shoreline, however with colder temperatures forecasted this could ice over quickly. All ice should be considered unsafe. If the ice opens up at all, nightcrawlers, PowerBait, spinners and wet flies behind a water bubble would work well. A total of 9,012 rainbow trout averaging 9.3 inches were stocked this fall.
