The lake is frozen, call Lake of the Woods for safety of ice.. For recent fishing updates, call the Lake of the Woods resort at 1-866-201-4194.

The lake is dominated by stunted yellow perch. Very small bait and hooks will catch these fish. Yellow perch fishing should be slow. Fishing bait near the submerged vegetation beds can be good for brown bullhead.
