Local angler Dale Scott recently landed a nice striper at Rotary Park, along with a rainbow trout, while fishing from shore using anchovies. It's not very common, but our local rainbow trout will bite on anchovies now and then. The striper weighed 4.82 pounds and measured 23 ¾ inches.
So far, Community Park is holding up well despite the winds. Anglers are still able to catch a few trout and some of our larger stripers. Up at Lake Mohave, fishing is slow, as the winds have kept all watercraft off the lake. However, anglers are making the most of it, taking advantage of any weather breaks to get out on the water.
If you're not heading out on the lake, now is a great time to get your gear in order, as good weather is on the way and there are some exciting outdoor fishing adventures awaiting!
Thanks for your continued support, and we'll see you soon.
Now, go catch a fish!
