EAST WALKER RIVER        

We’ve had a few reports from the river this past week and they’ve all been pretty good! Down near the “Elbow” there has been some good action with lots of small fish slapping dries but if you want to get into some of the larger fish you need to hit up the Rosachi and/or Sceirine and throw some good sized streamers as well as nymphs. We’ve had good reports from both sections with anglers saying they got into fish that were up near the 20” 21” range. It sounds like there’s been a couple stoneflies hatching down there so keep an eye out for that as well. Some patterns to try: sculpzilla, ziwi, dali lama, double bunny, dead drift crayfish, poxyback stone, flashback emerger, pheasant tail, soft hackle, psycho prince. 

 

SCEIRINE RANCH            

The Sceirine has fished well this past week as stated above, streamers and nymphs seem to be the best way to go!               

 

HUNEWILL POND          

The pond is frozen over for now, I’ll get out there later in the Winter to check on the ice conditions and pass that info on.                      

            

BRIDGEPORT RESERVOIR

I haven’t had any reports on the West lately, but if I do I’ll be sure to pass them along.

Ken’s Winter Hours: Tuesday - Saturday - 9am - 4pm - Closed Sunday & Monday

Waters/regulations that are open during the winter:

Robinson Creek, only from Lower Twin downstream, artificial flies or lures with barbless hook, zero fish limit.

Topaz Lake, open all year. 

Backcountry lakes with the exception of Kirman Lake all remain open all year.
