Fishing has been fair on Kinney pond. Fishing should pick up as stocking resumes with the warmer weather. The nice weather should really open up the pond this next week. Bait fisherman using crawlers and powerbait on the bottom should find some of the stocked trout. Fly fisherman slowly retrieving small woolly buggers should catch some of the cold water species during the warmest part of the day

Chimney Dam Reservoir: Overall, fishing at Chimney Reservoir has been slow
Fort Churchill Cooling Pond: Bass fishing has been fair this winter on the cooling ponds
Baily Fishing Pond: Ice has been on and off the pond this winter and fishing should be good
Bilk Creek Reservoir: Bilk is likely covered with ice at the moment but should pick up with spring weather
Blue Lakes: No recent reports from Blue due to limited/no access during the winter month
Carson River: The Carson is down to typical winter levels and fishing has been slow
East Carson River (NV): Some surface activity has been reported early an late in the day
Hinkson Slough: After two years of repairs and rehabilitation, Hinkson Slough is healthy and fishing very well
Hobart Reservoir: Hobart is currently closed for the season and reopens on May 1st

The reservoir is around 90 percent frozen with unsafe ice
