Fish biting, marine forecast good

Justin Kaullen at Fisherman's Landing posted this good news this morning "**8am Update - Prowler called in with 25 mixed Tuna for his 10 anglers.** Another great day on the water yesterday with most boats averaging 4-8 fish per rod! Pacific Dawn had another great catch with 85 Bluefin and 48 Yellowfin! Fishermans Landing has some great trips lined up for you this week from 1 day to 5 days! Give us a call here in the office 619-221-8500 or try our book online feature!"

The old L.A. weather forecaster Dr. George used to say "cutoff low, weatherman's woe" while some of my sources used to say not so nice things about Dr. George. But we're faced with that situation right now, with a nearly stationary low pressure system now due to hang around until Thursday. Meanwhile the marine forecast is great, with 5 to 10 knots for most of the next couple days, but you have to watch out for those "gusts to 20".

Don't stash your tuna gear yet. Keep an eye on our home page and iPhone app and go if you can. It's going to be a long winter.
