Today's report is a first-person account from a lucky angler who was on Kevin Brock's boat on the Klamath:

"This morning on the river the air was very cold and crisp. The water was crystal clear and warmer than the air, which made your hands feel even colder. When the sun hit the bank, we pulled up to shore to warm up before catching our last fish. From all the excitement of the fish being caught, the chill soon faded. We saw a black bear snatch up a large salmon. Boats were back to back, private and guided and all were catching fish.

"Kevin perfected the double swoop yet again, netting two fish, one from each side of the boat. We obtained limits by 10:13 AM, and the biggest was 9.2 lbs. The fish wanted the roe so bad they were swallowing it down their throats, and so aggressive we had one eat two baits Thirty days in a row, it's no record but it's an awesome start! Same tackle same place, same bait same results - limits!"

And there you have it - the Klamath River trips are a wonderful blend of sights, where the great outdoors meets great fishing.
