Current Reservoir Conditions:
Flows are more stable since the Lower Sacramento River's volume is coming down slowly. The fishing has been good and conditions are excellent. The rainbow trout on Keswick average 15" with fish over 20" common. Go discover this lesser known trout fishery. We suggest fishing Keswick with one of our expert Keswick Reservoir Fly Guides. The fishing on Keswick can be tricky to the uninitiated.
The Fly Shop's ? Tips:
A motorized boat is a must for gaining access to the part of this reservoir that holds concentrated numbers of rainbow trout. Look for slow water, near boulders. Swing, suspend, strip nymphs, leeches. Dry fly fishing happens late in the summer, near sunset.
