Water Conditions: ??Great! Flows are good on Pit 3, 4, and 5, and adventurous anglers have been doing very well in all three stretches, especially 3 and 4 which seem to be producing a lot of healthy, big fish. There have been some mixed mayfly hatches, caddis in the evening, and increasing numbers of stones. Nymphing has been most productive, with stonefly nymphs and black A.P.s.

Fishing Conditions & Hatches: ??High stick nymphing can be very productive here. There hasn't been much in the way of hatches yet, but nymphing with Copper Johns, Prince Nymphs, P.T.s, and stonefly nymphs has been producing a few fish. On warmer days, some small dark caddis have been hatching, and olive caddis pupae have been productive in midday, such as #14-16 LaFontaine's Caddis, #14-16 Olive Fox's Poopah, and #14-16 Mercer's Z-Wing.

Flies: ??#14-16 LaFontaine's Caddis, #14-16 Olive Fox's Poopah, and #14-16 Mercer's Z-Wing. Other productive patterns include: GB Black A.P #12-18 * GB Prince nymph #14-16 * Dark Lord #14-16 * Elk Hair Caddis #12-16 * Stimulators #8-12 * Black Rubberlegs #6-8 * Shafer's 3D Nymphs #10 * Poxyback Micro Stone, Dark #12

The Fly Shop's Tips: ??Be ready for tough wading conditions when fishing this river. Flat ground DOES NOT exist here! A wading staff is highly recommended.... almost mandatory. Many bones (wrist, arm, ankle, leg) and fly rods (Sage, Loomis, Scott, etc..) have been broken here. Move slow, and keep solid footing while in the water. (But just in cast...pack some dry clothes, snake kit and don't forget to dry out your fly-box at the end of the day!)
