SACRAMENTO Ca. - If you have never fished any of the specialty events held on the California delta such as the Yamamoto Big Bass Challenge, the Snag Proof Open, or the River2Sea Open, then you just might want to get your calendar out and make plans to hold a date or two, and be part of one - or all of these great events, as Angler's Press in conjunction with Coors Light has bundled these venues together to present the first-ever Coors Light - Delta Open Team Series.

And no, don't worry, the unique and exciting formats you have come to enjoy about these fun events will not change whatsoever. What will be created from bundling these specialty events into a team series, is that anglers of all ages and angling experience levels that participate in any one of them, will have the opportunity to move on to a Tournament of Champions style event - for a big grand prize, without having to commit to a "tour" or "trail".

As these events are spread out over the entire year, are reasonably priced, and are proven to produce large fields of competitors, teams can be assured of great fun, uncompromising quality, and a competitive payback - PLUS the hopes of qualifying for the Delta Open Team Series Championship!

Six ways to qualify for the Delta Open Team Series Championship

1. Be one of the top 25 - overall big fish winners in the 2013 Yamamoto Big Bass Challenge
2. Be one of the top 25 teams from the Pro division of the 2013 Snag Proof Open
3. Be one of the top 15 teams from the Am division of the 2013 Snag Proof Open
4. Be one of the top 25 teams in the 2013 River2Sea Open
5. Place in the top twenty-five in the 2013 FPT year-end standings -northern region (7 random draws)
6. Place the top ten in the 2013 FPT year-end standings -central region (3 random draws)

Only 100 teams - and no more, will receive the opportunity to compete in the Delta Open Team Series Championship event which will be held on the California Delta in the spring 2014. The Delta Open Team Series Championship will require an entry of only $100 dollars per team, with a new Jeep Patriot worth $15,000 going to the 1st place team, along with cash awards to the top ten finishers, which will represent a payback of over 100%!

To add to the excitement, this Delta Open Team Series Championship event will be televised and broadcast on Comcast Sports Net California for all to see!

Qualifying Rules for Delta Open Team Series Championship

The Delta Open Team Series is open to anyone, and you may fish or participate in as many of the qualifying events you wish (FPT events subject to eligibility) to increase your chances at making it to the "big show" but you may only win one berth into the Delta Open Teams Championship event. Your partner in the Delta Open Teams Series Championship event must be the partner you qualified with at one of the qualifying events you fished.

Please note - As the Yamamoto Big Bass Challenge is held as an individual format venue rather than a team format, the top 25 big fish winners may pick any angler they wish as a partner for the Delta Open Team Series Championship. However, the person they choose must have fished in the Yamamoto Big Bass Challenge event.

Payout/Format
The payout for the Delta Open Teams Series Championship event will be based on the amount of paid entries. If there are less PAID entries than the field size limit (100), the payout will be adjusted down according to how many actual paid entries are received. The Delta Open Team Series Championship event is a 2-day event with a 5 fish limit per team each day. Entry fee is $100 per team, with a Big Fish option pot of $25 per team. During the Delta Open Team Series Championship, qualifiers may only use the baits allowed in the qualifying specialty events such as Yamamoto, Snag Proof and River2Sea.

So there it is...for all of you long time by-standers that have been looking for competitive bass fishing fun - that works with your limited schedules... here is your chance!

Call the Angler's Press offices today and get signed up for one of the Delta Open Team Series events!

See you on the water!
