We finally have a little cooler weather setting in around Reno and Lake Tahoe. This should help all of our local fisheries recover a bit from some really warm water conditions. We are not out of the woods yet but we are getting a nice break over the next few days. It is supposed to get hot again starting next week so keep an eye on the water temps. and knock off if the water you are fishing reaches 70 degrees.

Truckee River: Truckee River is fishing very well as the water releases from Lake Tahoe keep the water level high
Little Truckee River: Flows are at 41 cfs on the Little Truckee & the PMD hatches are inconsistent
Sawmill Pond: Sawmill is fishing really well, this lake is in great shape. Dry fly fishing rules here.

Truckee River: The best time to fish the Truckee River is in the morning until around noon
East Walker River (CA): The water temps on the East Walker are getting up there, no sense fishing if the temps are over 70
Little Truckee River: Think about stalking fish on the Little Truckee instead of the endless cast method
Lake Davis: The water temperatures have skyrocketed at Davis over the past week
Frenchman Lake: Watch the water temperatures on Frenchman's Reservoir, you'll find the fish in the deeper waters
