Water Conditions: The flows on the San Joaquin were at 34 cfs as of 8/1.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Fishing on the San Joaguin is rated as good. The water is clear. Dry flies are a good choice. Dry/dropper is the preferred rig for nymphing.
Recommended Flies:
DRIES: chernobyl, yellow sally, parachute adams, extended body bwo, cdc baetis dun, baby boy hopper, stimulator, humpy, royal wulff, real midge, hatch matcher, sierra brite dot, foam hopper, griffith gnat, cdc flying ant
NYMPHS: rubbber leg copper johns, zug bug, birds nest, flashback hares ear, #18 mighty may sloan, #18 pheasant tail, buckskin, copper johns, #16 prince nymphs, #18 salvation, #18 micro stones, wd40, #20 juju baetis, variety of midges
