General Information:This system over the past few seasons seems to be gettting more and more popular as a Steelhead destination. One of the good things about Summer are the resident fish that are still in the system and the lack of fishing pressure during this period.

Fishing Conditions & Hatches: Flows are at 450 cfs, and the Fly Fishing Only Section is fishing great for juvenile steelhead (12-15 inches). This should remain a great bet. There are some kings and sea run browns starting to show in the system.

Flies:
?Ģ Yellow Humpies #12-16
?Ģ Elk Hair Caddis (Olive or tan) #14-16
?Ģ Parachute Adams #12-16
?Ģ Red Copper John #14-16
?Ģ San Juan Worms; #14-16
?Ģ GB Prince Nymph #14-16
?Ģ GB Pheasant Tail Nymph #14-18

The Fly Shop's Tips: There are a fair number of salmon in the 20-30 lb class in the upper section of the river at this time. Good action was reported on Rubber Legs and other Big Stones. This is good fun while it lasts and a 9 or 10 wt rod is a good choice for this type of fishing.
