There's open water, and the state park is opening up restrooms for campers now. Most anglers (including me) report slow to fair fishing from shore. Last week, angler Tom Robertshaw reported that his party of six fished from shore at the marina. The water was muddy, and they got nothing at all in two hours. He saw a party of two who caught several trout while fishing from the beach at the day-use picnic area. Hailstone ramp is available for launching. There's a significant drop-off at the end of the personal watercraft ramp (about 10 feet from the water's edge), so please use caution.
