The spring all-depth Pacific Halibut fishery (Central Coast Subarea) has closed because there is not enough quota to be open for an additional day (remainder is rolled-over).

For greater detail, please see the news release: http://dfw.state.or.us/news/2014/june/062614.asp

For catch estimates, please see the 2014 Halibut estimates page: http://www.dfw.state.or.us/mrp/finfish/Halibut/estimates/halcatch2014.asp

There will be plenty of halibut opportunities for the remainder of the summer: the nearshore fishery opens July 1 (seven days per week), the summer all-depth fishery opens in August, and the Columbia River and Southern Oregon Subareas remain open.
