With the smog in the valley, now is a nice time to go fishing at Rockport! There's five inches of ice and fishing is good. There's some thin ice around the edges, so getting an ATV or snowmobile on the lake might be a challenge. The forecast is for colder temperature, so that problem should go away. Anglers are catching healthy rainbows and brown trout in the 17-inch range. The Rockport leg of the Wasatch Back Quad-fishalon is Feb. 14, 2015. The Quad-fishalon is four ice-fishing tournaments at four separate reservoirs. You can choose to enter one or all.
