Dropping like a champion, wading opportunities are slowly opening up.?? Over the duration of the drop in flows, while the fish become re-acclimated, catching may prove a little spotty.?? That's not to say, however, that you won't come across individual "players" and newly forming (re-forming) pods willing to eat (they still need to eat!).??
Big Hoppers and Short-Winged Summer Stones remain the significant food-source.?? Caddis will continue to play a role, still later in the day mainly, though with the cooling days, that window will be pushed more to mid-day.?? Soon the late-day caddis event to look for will be the October Caddis, a harbinger for Fall mayflies to begin in-earnest.
