BAY SHORELINE:?? Perch fishing is very good along the Marin County beaches, Stinson Beach, Bodega Bay, Tenmile Beach, Point Reyes all provide quality fishing. Use sand crabs, pile worms or blood worms. Mostly barred perch or red-tail perch are being caught. Inside the Bay there are walleye, pile perch, barred perch and rubber lips are caught. Action is peaking now. Stripers are being caught from the San Pablo Bay shoreline into the Delta. Bass are 19 to 25 inches long.?? Bay Tackle (510) 235-2032, Berkeley Sportfishing Marina (510-849-2727); Loch Lomond Marina (415) 456-0321
CRESCENT CITY:?? Perch fishing has been good at North Beach. Berkeley sand worms also work. Crabbing has been slow. (707) 464-1650
PACIFICA: It's been slow lately. Perch bite has petered out. Crab are scarce at the pier. Rusty Hook (650) 355-8303, New Coastside (650) 359-9790
SAN PABLO BAY: Striper bite is wide open. Lots of catch-and-release opportunity. Most are keepers in the five to six pound class. Pumphouse area is the top spot. Sturgeon anglers average a fish per boat. There have been herring spawns at Paradise and Raccoon Straits so some sturgeon have migrated out of San Pablo Bay. Loch Lomond Marina (415) 456-0321
SUISUN BAY: A 41 pound striper and 37 pound striper were caught last week near the Mothball Fleet. One was caught on bullhead, the other on ghost and grass shrimp. Not much action on the Martinez side of the bridge. All the action is near the fleet. Martinez Bait & Tackle (925) 229-9420, Barry Canavero (916) 777-6498
