Anglers have started taking kayaks and other small, non-motorized watercraft out on the water. Angling pressure has been light, but some people have caught smaller rainbows on spinners. Don't forget to obtain your Walk-in Access authorization number before visiting Holmes Creek. Nearby Hobbs Reservoir has open water and is completely ice-free. Anglers have been catching large rainbows on emergers. Please keep in mind that you may use only artificial flies and lures at Hobbs -- bait is not allowed. The daily limit at Hobbs is two fish under 15 inches. If you catch a fish that's longer than 15 inches, you must immediately release it.
