Water levels continue to rise, which creates more fish habitat around the reservoir's edges. Local anglers, Bryan Christensen of Layton and James Abbott of Ogden, had a great day earlier this week, fishing the east side of the reservoir. Bryan caught a bass within three minutes of putting his line in the water. James had many bites but also had a hard time keeping fish hooked. The two anglers had the best success using bright yellow or corn-scented PowerBait and letting it float a few feet off the bottom or under a bobber. Water temperatures are around 58°F. Anglers are permitted to use non-motorized watercraft, and doing so will probably increase your chances of catching other species of fish. Don't forget to obtain your Walk-in Access authorization number and sign in at the box before visiting the reservoir.
