Memorial Day weekend brought many recreationists to the lake, anglers making up a significant portion of these. Early mornings were a good time to avoid the crowd as well as hook some of the lunkers seeking forage in the coves. Netted shad has been the most productive bait. A few anglers who were fishing from shore near Boulder Beach had success catching catfish using anchovies.
