Fishing is good. Cicadas, and other terrestrials, are supplying the surface action while large scuds and emerging midges supply a deeper catch. Try a combination with a scud, shrimp or emerger trailer. Anglers report good fishing for brown and rainbow trout, especially in the main channel and deeper eddies. Anglers using lures have also reported good fishing. Try crankbaits, spinners, spoons and jigs in fish, crayfish, black, white, silver and gold colors. During the recent electrofishing, biologists measured and released big, healthy trout. They also removed several flies (hooks). Water flows vary throughout the day, starting around 1,200 cfs, increasing for 1800 cfs for most of the day and peaking at 2,500 cfs in the afternoon before falling back to 1,200 cfs overnight.
