Reminder to boaters: All watercrafts (including float tubes) need to have a wearable Coast Guard approved personal floatation device (PFD) per person. Children age 12 and under must wear personal floatation device (PFD) while the vessel is underway.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Expect cooler temperatures through the weekend, but the weather will warm up during the week. Temperatures will reach the mid-80s. There is wind is 8-15mph, and the sky is relatively clear.
CATFISH
Try fishing for catfish at Channel Point, Loma Island or from a boat with nightcrawlers or chicken liver.
TROUT
Trout bite has slowed down. Try fishing at Channel Point, near the swim area or from a boat using nightcrawlers or variety of power bait.
BASS
Black bass fishing has been good again this week, biting on artificial baits/lures or nightcrawlers anywhere around the lake.
CRAPPIE/BLUEGILL
Try fishing for crappie or bluegill with jigs or worms at the boat ramp area, Loma Island or Channel Point area.
WHOPPERS:
Roger Valladoa caught a 10.7 lb. Trout with a kastmaster at the boat ramp.
Paul Buccelatto caught & released a 9.5 lb. Black Bass with a senko from a float tube.
