Anglers have been hooking up many different species over the past week, mainly on bait, on and off shore. People have been catching catfish and stripers using chicken liver, sardines, and worms. Hot spots from shore have been along the rip rap in front of the boat shop and also along the canal by the entrance booth. Coves around the lake have been most productive for people, fishing down deep, bait and wait for both catfish and stripers throughout the day. Bass have also been biting well along the shoreline of the lake, mainly off worms and weedless plastic baits.
