The flows on the East are at about 158 right now, the river is still in good shape and the fish are still happy and healthy. We’ve been getting some cooler night time temperatures so this is helping the water temps and keeping th efish in good shape. It’s still mostly a morning thing down there and we’ve been suggesting that anglers focus on the mornings from about 7am to 11am or so for the best fishing as well as the best time for releasing healthy fish. There has been some good streamer action lately , mostly with crawdad patterns like a dead drift crayfish, also, in addition to the standard nymphing under an indicator we’ve still been getting some good reports on dry/dropper rigs. Droppers have been working best about 2 feet below your dry.
Recommended Flies:
Buckskin caddis, Fox’s poopah, LaFontaine’s deep sparkle pupa, 3 wire caddis, rainbow warrior, san juan worm, flashback emerger, WD-40, disco midge, top secret midge, radiation baetis, dead drift crayfish, para hopper, chubby chernobyl, daves hopper, dead drift crayfish, dark lord, silver streak, stimulator, madam X.
