Water conditions:
Water Temps: Mid 60's

Flow: 45 CFS. This is a permanent flow required to be maintained by LADWP Things are finally starting to cool down a bit in the gorge, although mid day is still a little intense. Dry fly fishing has been good , evenings being a good time to catch the caddis.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches:
Caddis and midge hatches are still predominant, although a variety of attractor patterns and hopper patterns always seem to bring up a few fish. Watch for rattlers and nettles, and be sure to carry plenty of water.

Recommended Flies:
Kaufmann's stimi #16-18, Elk Hair Caddis #14-18, Parachute Caddis #14-18, Dave's Hopper #12-14, Adams #14-20

WD-40 in Olive or Black #18-20, Pheasant Tails #16-18, Z-wing Caddis #18, Tiger Midge #18-20, Hares Ear #18-20

Guides Hint: Bring your 2 each of your favorite flies and a few bottles of water. Make everything simple for the Gorge. That's the beauty of the Gorge, Simplicity!
